As a Project Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing the exterior envelope systems for prefabricated walls. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to create designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing while ensuring compliance with building codes, energy efficiency standards, and environmental requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities This position requires a strong understanding of building envelope systems, materials, and construction methods, as well as proficiency with Revit and BIM and the ability to translate concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architectural staff. Duties And Responsibilities Lead the design process from conceptual phase through construction documentation. Manage project budgets and schedules. Develop comprehensive building envelope designs for prefabricated wall systems, ensuring integration of insulation, cladding, weatherproofing, and structural components. Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project specifications, local building codes, and sustainability standards. Create detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and assembly instructions for prefabricated wall systems using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or BIM software. Review design outputs to ensure quality standards, accuracy, and consistency. Proactively resolve potential design flaws or challenges. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible, cost-effective, and easy to assemble in the prefabrication process. Required Skills And Abilities Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking within prefabricated design constraints. Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Effective communication and negotiation with clients and contractors. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and relevant tools; bonus for Rhino, Dynamo knowledge. Education And Experience Licensed Architect registration. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in building envelope design, preferably in prefabricated or modular construction. Extensive experience with BIM tools like ACC and Procore. Experience in fast-paced, production-oriented environments. Proven track record managing large architectural projects. Physical Requirements Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds if needed.
