Team Leader, Maintenance

City / State South Boston, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview : Sentara Health is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Team Lead, Maintenance Location : South Boston, Virginia Position Status : Full-time, Day Shift Position Summary : The Team Leader, Maintenance, is experienced in all phases of general maintenance of facilities and serves as a resource for other team members. The role involves performing general maintenance on building structures and systems, including floors, walls, ceilings, lighting, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and more. The candidate must operate hand and power tools safely, maintain parts and supplies, inspect and repair electrical components, monitor security systems, and interface with building tenants. Additionally, the Team Leader assists leadership with daily operations, work coordination, quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance, including internal construction projects. Standard Working Hours : 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM (ET). Minimum Requirements : Associates in Applied Science (A.A.S) in electromechanical controls technology or equivalent degree, or graduation from trade school preferred. Two years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree or trade school. At least 3 years of experience with electrical power distribution systems and HVAC, with knowledge of construction, repair, and maintenance methods. Thorough knowledge of building automation systems using DDC or ALC controls; electrical, plumbing, or HVAC licenses are a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
