Detailed Radiology Technologist Role

Perform a variety of radiographic procedures to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and be able to effectively communicate with patients and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer general and specific x-rays using prescribed techniques
• Position and immobilize patients as necessary, using appropriate lead shielding
• Adjust equipment and calculate exposure factors to achieve optimal image quality
• Assist physicians with imaging processes and follow Radiology Department protocols
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork
• Provide protection to patients, family members, staff, and self in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications :

Physical Demands and Working Conditions :

The physical demands of this role include heavy work exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. On-call duties may be required.
