About the Role
We are seeking a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to join a healthcare team providing podiatric care across nursing homes, assisted-living centers, and long-term care facilities. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about improving patient outcomes in senior care settings while maintaining flexibility in scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed assessments of foot and ankle conditions.
- Provide routine care such as nail trimming, callus removal, and wound management.
- Diagnose and treat podiatric issues including infections, ulcers, and deformities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for residents.
- Collaborate closely with facility staff and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper foot care and preventive practices.
- Accurately document care using EMR systems and maintain compliance with state standards.
- Travel between assigned facilities within Illinois or Florida, depending on assignment.
Qualifications
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree with active licensure (or eligibility to obtain within required timeframe).Board Qualified or Board Certified by ABPM or ABFAS .Strong clinical expertise in podiatric assessment, treatment, and wound care.Compassionate approach to patient care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to travel within the assigned region.What's Offered
