The University of Georgia Foundation enriches the quality of education at the university by supporting scholarships, endowed chairs and professorships and other programs that rely on private funds. With more than $2 billion in assets, a large portion of which is endowed, the Foundation provides an average of more than $150 million annually to UGA to advance its mission of teaching, research, and public service. The Foundation was established in 1937. As a steward of donor funds, the Foundation has a strong record of fiscal and financial management. Its investment portfolio has consistently outperformed key benchmarks. Growth in the Foundation's assets has allowed for greater financial support for the university's mission.
Mission of the University of Georgia Foundation :
The mission and purpose of the University of Georgia Foundation is to provide support for the teaching, research, public service and outreach programs of the University of Georgia by means of volunteer leadership and assistance in development and fundraising activities; fiduciary care for the assets of the foundation for the long-term benefit and enhancement of the university; and broad advice, consultation and support to the president of the university. The Foundation shall operate as a cooperative organization in accordance with policies of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of UGA Foundation Gift Agreements, the Associate Director provides leadership and oversight for fund agreement operations, with particular emphasis on scholarship administration and matching fund initiatives, ensuring the sustained impact of donor resources to expand access and promote student success. Serving as a strategic partner and trusted resource to development officers, this position works collaboratively with the Division of Development & Alumni Relations ( DAR ), UGA Foundation ( UGAF ) Financial Accounting, UGAF Gift Accounting, the Vice President for Instruction, and the Office of Student Financial Aid ( OSFA ). Responsibilities include reviewing and drafting fund agreements, monitoring pledge completion, confirming matching eligibility, reconciling funds, and ensuring timely spending allocations for student awards.
The Associate Director will serve as a key liaison during matching initiatives, working collaboratively across units to guide donor preferences to align with institutional priorities. This position also supports the Gift Agreement team by providing drafting and review assistance, preparing reports and analytics, and advising development officers on fund agreement policies, procedures, and best practices.
This position will regularly interact with senior administrators across the University, including colleagues in Development, Academic Affairs, and Legal Affairs. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and a high degree of initiative. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage complex financial and donor-related information with accuracy and confidentiality.
