Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Stayton, Oregon.

Opportunity : RN - ICU

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • 2-week block schedule created by management with nights grouped in 3-4 consecutive shifts
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation if it falls on regularly scheduled shift
  • 4-bed ICU unit with 1 : 2 nurse to patient ratios
  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC and PALS preferred)
  • Must have ICU experience - will accept first-time travelers
  • Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
  • Required to titrate drips including Propofol, Levophen, Dobutamine, Precedex, Fentanyl, Insulin, Esmolol, Versed, and Ketamine
  • Common patient diagnoses include DKA, septic shock, ETOH withdrawal, hypoxemia, acute respiratory distress, and COVID
  • Any color scrubs allowed
  • 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor
  • EPIC charting system
  • No call or standby requirements
  • Floating requirements to IMCU, MS, or ED (as helping hands if no ED experience)
  • No BSN requirement
  • Must be able to function with limited resources in small community hospital setting

    • Facility :

    This 40-bed community hospital operates as a Level 4 trauma center providing comprehensive acute care services. The facility features an ICU, intermediate care unit, and medical-surgical units all located on the same floor, promoting collaborative care delivery. The hospital maintains 24 / 7 hospitalist coverage with intensivist support Monday through Friday, supplemented by telemedicine consultation during off-hours and weekends. The organization emphasizes teamwork and adaptability in a community hospital environment with shared resources across units.

    Stayton offers a charming small-town atmosphere in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley, surrounded by scenic countryside and outdoor recreation opportunities. The community provides an excellent work-life balance with easy access to both natural attractions and urban amenities in nearby Salem and Portland.
