Job descriptionExperience : 3+ years of experience in highway, interchange, and roadway design. Licensing : EIT license or PE license with BSc in Civil Engineering Technical Skills : Proficiency in MicroStation V8i software, Bentley InRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience in drainage design is preferred. Personal Qualities : Detail-oriented, a self-starter, and proficient in both verbal and written communication. JUNIOR Roadway Design Engineer
Are you a junior roadway design engineer looking to make an impact on infrastructure projects? A valued client we work closely with are seeking a talented and motivated Roadway Design Engineer to join the team. If you have a passion for designing innovative transportation solutions and enjoy mentoring others, this opportunity is for you!
This position is based in-office in Kansas City and offers flexible working hours.
Responsibilities
- Design Excellence : Produce roadway and transportation designs for new construction and rehabilitation projects, ensuring they meet all client and regulatory standards.
- Client Collaboration : Attend client meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, and liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
- Mentorship : Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers, guiding them in the production of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E).
- Business Development : Assist in local marketing efforts, such as proposal preparation, participating in professional chapter meetings, and attending municipal functions and meetings.
