Shipping Supervisor

Job Description

A leading defense manufacturing organization is conducting a confidential search for a Shipping Lead to oversee operations. This role ensures the safe and efficient production and shipment of high-quality products while supporting a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and customer-first service.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coach the shipping team to meet daily production and shipping schedules.

Monitor material flow and packaging to keep production on track.

Train, mentor, and develop new employees to achieve high-quality performance.

Perform all shipping department tasks to fill in as needed, including packing, labeling, and staging shipments.

Communicate effectively across departments to coordinate shipping priorities.

Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all federal / state regulations.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

VantageClear Certification (or equivalent U.S. defense-industry compliance credential) required.

Proven leadership or team-lead experience in shipping, logistics, or production environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to coach and develop team members.

Ability to adapt to changing production needs and maintain focus on quality and safety.
