Director of Data Engineering

A company is looking for a Director, Data Engineering to lead Data Platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for the data platform

Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices

Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data ingestion pipelines

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position

Proven track record of building and scaling complex data platforms

Deep expertise in data ingestion pipelines, operational data stores, and data warehousing / lakehouse technologies

Strong proficiency in Java or Scala and experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
