The SDLC Agile Coach is a subject matter expert providing leadership, guidance, and coaching to drive our Client's Agile transformation. This key role will guide and train the organization as it adopts Agile values and practices to enhance their delivery of critical business initiatives. The Agile Coach is an organizational change agent who embraces an Agile mindset and cultivates it throughout the organization.
Job Description
Practitioner and Practice Coach
Maintains industry expertise and certifications in Agile methodologies; leverages knowledge to drive best practices.
Coaches software delivery teams in the application of modern development practices.
Champions Agile principles, Scrum practices, and overall operating model effectiveness across the organization.
Leads Agile workshops to drive adoption of standard practices and ceremonies.
Fosters collaboration and drives cultural change within and across Agile teams.
Defines KPIs; leverages measures and metrics to drive effectiveness.
Recruits and partners with Agile evangelists across the IT organization to promote continual learning and maturity of Agile practices.
Training and Development
Creates and maintains the enterprise Agile learning roadmap to support Client's adoption strategy.
Develops and manages the Agile Training / University program, including curriculum design, materials, and exams.
Conducts Agile training classes, both in-person and virtual, for staff at all levels.
Facilitates learning through workshops, meetups, and team-building activities.
Teaches participants to interpret Agile productivity measures and understand options for improving velocity.
Defines KPIs and metrics to assess effectiveness and communicates progress against objectives.
Establishes trusted working relationships with IT and business colleagues while advancing Agile maturity across the organization.
Embraces and models continuous learning for others.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience implementing enterprise Agile transformation programs.
Preferred Certifications
One or more Agile certifications (, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, CSP, or similar).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of and experience using Jira and Confluence.
Ability to tailor coaching techniques to individuals as needed.
Knowledge of Agile engineering practices, including DevSecOps and CI / CD pipelines.
Ability to manage hybrid environments during Agile transition / adoption.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to communicate complex concepts in business terms.
Strong emotional intelligence and organizational awareness.
Ability to challenge the status quo and influence outcomes.
