Job Description : Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager for a well-established and growing manufacturing warehouse located in Smyrna!

Qualifications for Accounting Managers :

After meeting all of PPS standard qualifications Candidate must meet below qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

Must have four or more years of accounting related experience and training or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.

Management and supervision skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must have a thorough knowledge of accounting and GAAP compliance.

Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.

Assignment Duties for Accounting Managers :

Directly manages the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable personnel.

Perform managerial responsibilities in accordance with companys policies and applicable laws.

Oversee daily accounting operations including A / P A / R general ledger entries and payroll postings.

Making sure that all invoices are paid timely and payments received are posted properly.

Research cost accounts and production routes to verify COGS and investigate variance accounts.

Verify inventory valuation.

Prepare Excel schedules to post withing the general ledger.

Complete reports for various inter-company departments.

Complete month-end procedures and journal entries.

Reconcile monthly bank statements for the operating and payroll accounts.

Prepare financial reports on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.

Analyze actual expenses to the budget.

Examine all invoices expense reports and expenditures for payment.

Prepare reports for outsourcing sales tax return.

Approve state sales tax returns.

Audit expense reports.

Reconcile monthly purchasing cards.

Execute all year-end processing and audits.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Shift Details : Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM

Pay Rate : $54.36 / hour

Benefits : Full time.
