Overview

What you'll do

• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
• Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
• Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying goals and objectives; and measuring progress toward results.
• Identify and address improvement opportunities; demonstrate adaptability; and promote continuous learning.
• Lead and develop teams through teaching, training, active listening, store tours with feedback (Tour-to- Teach), and collaboration across all levels regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction.
• Introduce and lead company change efforts; provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions; and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
• Model exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model; support customer service initiatives; resolve customer needs and issues; develop action plans to correct deficiencies; and lead process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; support the mission, values, and ethics; apply Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
• Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and shrink mitigation; develop action plans to achieve sales and profit goals for the area.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

For facilities that sell firearms, acknowledge successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, acknowledge possible need for a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no preferred qualifications.

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location); Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges).
