Job Description

The Inpatient Surgery Nurse will provide essential nursing care to a diverse patient population in a busy post-operative environment. The role necessitates strong clinical skills for managing various conditions, including pain management needs and post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Administer frequent pain medications and IV treatments.
• Manage wound vacs, JP drains, and dressing changes.
• Oversee patient care related to general surgery, urology, neurology, and other specialties.
• Conduct assessments including vital signs, intake and output, and pain assessments.
• Utilize monitoring equipment and patient care management software (EPIC) for documentation.
