Part-Time Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist (3 Days / Week)

Join a leading Environmental, Health & Safety organization as a part-time EHS Generalist, offering a flexible schedule of 24 hours per week. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale organization dedicated to safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic engineering and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and implement environmental compliance and occupational health and safety programs.

Support multiple projects and customer needs in a fast-paced setting.

Perform inspections related to environmental, health, and safety standards.

Lead initiatives to reduce injuries, environmental impact, and promote sustainability.

Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.

Support behavioral safety programs and analyze safety performance indicators.

Serve as a point of contact (POC) for safety councils and internal communications.

Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors.

Interpret OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, ANSI standards and regulations.

Participate in emergency response planning and HazMat operations.

Collaborate with internal teams and cross-company EHS professionals to foster a safety culture.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, industrial hygiene, safety engineering, environmental studies, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Knowledge of EPA, Cal / OSHA regulations, and ANSI standards.

Experience diagnosing and resolving EHS issues with practical controls.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data management systems.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in environmental, safety, and industrial hygiene programs.

CHMM certification preferred.

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training certification.

Experience developing and delivering engaging EHS training.

Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations effectively.
