Shift : 12 hour day / night rotate, Description : Additional Information : Position Description : 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages utilizing the nursing process; directs patient and family teaching; provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit / dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC- ASAP Module- teaching provided3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Work requires a professional level of knowledge acquired by completing an accredited RN nursing education program. Must hold RN licensure from the ND State Board of Nursing for the current year. At least 1 year of previous ER experience is required. Prefer some cardiac knowledge.4. Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc.)ND State or compact nursing license required.ED staff nurse position requires ACLS certification as well as BLS and PALS.5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)Variable - will not work alone. Always someone else here. Every 3rd weekend required.6. Floating to other units / departments. (If so, to which units / departments?)Will not float.7. Bed size / number of rooms for this unit / dept.118. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)Depends on how busy the ED gets. 9. Dress Code : Black scrubs10.
