Schedule Details : Nights

8 and 12-hour shifts

Every third weekend rotation

Holiday rotation

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :

Join our dynamic 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you will care for complex patients including :

  • Post-operative craniotomy patients.
  • Receivers of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.
  • Patients involved in our Comprehensive Stroke Program.
  • High-volume surgical patients and medical overflow cases.

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe and compassionate care.
  • Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Enhance overall patient experience throughout the care continuum.

  • Major Responsibilities :

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans involving patients and families.
  • Recognize significant changes in patient conditions and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Enhance patient safety and assess family readiness to learn, tailoring educational strategies to fit their needs.
  • Coordinate discharge plans with a focus on evidence-based practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety and intervene when necessary to mitigate risks.

  • Requirements :

  • Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of an accredited Nursing program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

  • Strong patient care focus and adaptability in responding to changes.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic health systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective decision-making and organizational abilities.
