- Data Analyst in our Madison, Wisconsin office. Do you enjoy leading projects, programming, solving problems, and optimizing processes? If you answered yes, this position is perfect for you! You will play an important role in helping us solve complex, real-world problems for our largest client and assisting our Vice Presidents in mentoring and training our team of data analysts. You will also regularly use your in-depth technical / programming skills to dive into the data, assist with setting standards, improve processes, ensure reports are accurate, and answer client questions.

Key Responsibilities :
Use in-depth knowledge of USPS operations, processes, and datasets to perform (or help others perform) the following :oCollect, clean, transform, and analyze complex datasets.
oValidate the data to ensure it is consistent and of sufficient quality.
oTroubleshoot data issues and answer client questions as they arise.
oCreate and / or update cost models, provide support for pricing changes and initiatives, regulatory reporting, and / or productivity measurements.
oQC employees work. Ensure data / reports provided to clients are accurate and sent timely.
oDocument analytical processes to ensure knowledge sharing and transparency.
Understand process / project inputs, outputs, and intricacies. Convert USPS business requirements into technical / project requirements for the team.Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual processes and projects. Mentor / train employees, provide coaching, feedback (positive and constructive), and guidance on tasks / projects.Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and efficiencies, often of a complex nature.Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients. Assess and anticipate their needs. Answer and respond to complex client questions and independently resolve issues.Partner with Data Engineers and other team members to ensure data standards and best practices are being met and data infrastructure supports analytical needs.Qualifications :
Bachelors or masters degree in computer / data science, data analytics, economics, or similar with a history of strong academic performance.7+ years progressively responsible work experience that includes :oManaging projects project resources, and clients.
oExtensive programming experience in Python and SQL.
oAnalyzing, managing, and maintaining large datasets.
oA successful track record of solving complex problems and continuous process improvement.
A deep understanding of logistics or shipping industries strongly preferred (e.g., USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.).Strong business acumen and a desire to progress into a leadership role.Analytically and technically minded with the aptitude, ability, and interest in solving complex problems and learning new things.Advanced knowledge in data analysis concepts (e.g., data cleaning, aggregation, interpretation, visualization, etc.).Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of software used for data manipulation (e.g., Python, SQL, SAS, Excel, or similar). Experience working with visualization tools is preferred (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Strong communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, and a rigorous attention to detail.Able to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple competing priorities.Experience working in a data warehouse environment is a plus.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
