Physical Therapist
JOB SUMMARY :
The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services for inpatients and outpatients across a spectrum of ages and within the continuum of care. Evaluates clients, plans and implements treatment programs which restores, reinforces, and / or enhances function.
PRE-REQUISITES :
Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy with current licensure in the State of Vermont.
RELATIONSHIPS :
Reports To : Director of Rehabilitation Services
Other Contacts : Patients, families, visitors, providers and their staff, business partners and hospital employees
SCOPE :
Machinery or Equipment Used : Ambulatory aids, therapeutic laser, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, exercise equipment and other patient care equipment. Computer and photocopier.
Physical Demands : Frequent, prolonged standing / walking. Lifts, positions, pushes, and / or transfers patients, occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity and mobility and moderate physical effort.
Working Conditions : May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases, occasional exposure under a wide variety of circumstances. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
Required Protective Equipment : PPE as situation warrants
