Job Description

We are looking for a Temporary Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team.  This is a hands-on role responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility, property, and associated equipment and systems.  This position will also assist with the repair and preventive maintenance of vehicles, mechanical equipment, small engines, and systems including electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and various tools and machinery.

Specific Duties :

  • Performs general maintenance and repair work including but not limited to; carpentry, electrical, HVAC / mechanical, painting, plumbing, masonry, mechanical equipment and machinery, electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Responds to critical situations on the property as directed.
  • Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled
  • Completes work order logs and documentation.
  • Assists with inventory maintenance.

Qualifications

Must have :

  • Three (3) years' experience in commercial facilities /  property maintenance (minimum)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (required)
  • Experience in vehicle and small engine / equipment service & repair (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record (required)
  • Ability to operate power tools and equipment, machinery, forklifts, high lifts, and other types of equipment.
  • Rate : $28.00 - $30.50 (DOE)

    This is a union position.

    This is a temporary position (estimated 3 months)
