Job descriptionWork in an 18-bed open critical care unit with 2 : 1 patient ratio (1 : 1 for high acuity patients) 13-16 week assignments available Floating required to progressive care unit Every third weekend coverage required Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 24 hours of orientation provided 2 years of experience required Required certifications : ACLS and BLS Must have license and certifications in hand to submit Skills required : interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac drips, care of ventilated patients, and ventilator management Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and surgical cases Work with special equipment including IABP and CVVHD (not required for travel contract) No ECMO, transplant, neurotrauma, or neurosurgery cases CV / Open heart surgery patients staffed by facility nurses for first 36 hours Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions only) Charge pay available with additional compensation First-time travelers accepted Referral bonus
