Job description

The Logistics Team Supervisor is a people-first, working leader responsible for coordinating and participating in the daily operations of shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This hands-on role balances leadership with active engagement—working side-by-side with team members to execute tasks, solve problems, and uphold standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to develop a cross-functional team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and work alongside a logistics team to meet daily operational goals across shipping, receiving, and inventory.
  • Package parts to prepare for shipping and daily attainment goals.
  • Receive and ship parts using online customer portals and prep packaging for shipping goals.
  • Actively participate in logistics activities, providing real-time guidance and support on the floor.
  • Hold team members accountable to performance, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain a regularly updated skills matrix to track cross-training and identify gaps or growth opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a rotating schedule that balances team responsibilities and supports continuous skill development.
  • Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving tasks using Epicor ERP and customer portals (technical support provided).
  • Ensure inventory transactions and kit issues are performed accurately and timely within the ERP system.
  • Investigate and respond to logistics-related issues (e.g., customer complaints, shipping delays); lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
  • Monitor packing material usage and drive cost-saving initiatives without sacrificing quality or compliance.
  • Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment using 5S and lean principles.
  • Lead and participate in cycle counting efforts and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and reduce waste.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and teamwork, setting the tone by example. Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience leading teams in fast-paced environments such as manufacturing, warehousing, retail, food service, or military.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to coach performance and hold others accountable.
  • Willingness and ability to perform hands-on logistics tasks alongside team members.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, capable of managing shifting priorities and multiple workflows.
  • Comfortable learning and using ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with 5S, lean, or safety programs preferred (training available).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. PIddc78cf5ba01-29400-37846679
