Job Title : Travel RN – Psychiatric / Behavioral Health (Day Shift, Float) Location : Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital, White Hall, AR Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM Contract Type : Travel Assignment Duration : 13 Weeks (with potential for extension)

Job Summary : Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in the Psychiatric / Behavioral Health unit at Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital in White Hall, Arkansas. This is a float position within the Lifepoint Behavioral Health system, requiring flexibility to support multiple units as needed. The ideal candidate will provide safe, therapeutic care to patients with behavioral health needs, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities :

Provide direct nursing care to patients in psychiatric / behavioral health settings

Float between units as assigned, adapting quickly to different patient populations and workflows

Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans

Support patients through crisis intervention and therapeutic communication

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge instructions

Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff

Requirements :

Active RN license in Arkansas or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric / behavioral health experience

Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Strong communication, de-escalation, and critical thinking skills

Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple units as a float nurse

Completion of all onboarding and compliance requirements
