Job descriptionDevelops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility to support business objectives. Acts as an advisor to senior and executive leadership on the development of overall policy and long-term goals of clinical initiatives. Drives interdepartmental coordination to implement new programs and strategic projects. Defines program / project goals, requirements, and timelines. Directs operational and administrative activities within areas of responsibility. Identifies opportunities to initiate operational change within department(s). Prepares budget and recommends for approval. Manages day-to-day budget for department. Oversees the maintenance, analysis and reporting of performance indicators. Regularly collaborates with senior and executive leadership and those outside clinical and / or business area to ensure alignment and achieve business outcomes. Seeks to identify potential new development projects supporting strategic direction for key programs and / or services. Provides direction and guidance to high-level subject matter experts and middle managers. Assists in career development planning. Maintains program compliance with applicable laws and regulations of federal, state, and local governmental agencies and with the standards, rules and regulations of accrediting and approving bodies. Implements and facilitates clinical performance improvement projects that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care across multiple sites. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions. Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
