Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian Job, Miami, Florida, USA

Job Description : Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Regional Medical Director to oversee multiple veterinary hospitals across Southeastern Florida. This leadership role is ideal for a veterinarian with proven management experience who is ready to mentor, guide, and inspire teams while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. You'll partner with Regional Operations Directors to support practice growth, drive best medical practices, and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional veterinary services across the region.

In this position, your responsibilities will include :

• Developing and supporting veterinary teams across multiple hospitals through coaching, reviews, and individualized development plans
• Recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring new veterinarians, ensuring clinical and cultural fit
• Conducting quarterly DVM reviews and monthly team meetings to promote best practices and teamwork
• Overseeing compliance with state, federal, and DEA regulations across all hospitals in your region
• Representing the organization at veterinary colleges and managing intern / extern programs
• Driving operational alignment with Regional Operations Directors, including equipment needs and scheduling support
