Pediatric Occupational Therapist

You will play a pivotal role in supporting children’s development and well-being through individualized care in our outpatient setting.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and documentation for pediatric clients. Your involvement will also extend to program planning and collaboration with a dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct thorough evaluations, utilizing historical information and specific assessments to develop tailored treatment plans. Engage with patients and families to establish meaningful goals.

Implement treatment protocols with proficiency, adapting plans as necessary based on patient progress and health developments. Coordination with other healthcare professionals will be essential.

Carry out effective discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring comprehensive documentation that reflects patient progress and care plans.

Exhibit strong time management skills, maintaining productivity and an organized schedule while being flexible to patient needs and demonstrating empathy in a patient-centered environment.

Pursue continuing education for professional growth and mentor junior staff, students, and volunteers to foster a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications :

Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral) from an accredited institution.

Active licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), or Virginia, as applicable to your working location.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
