Responsibilities :
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
- Assist with medical procedures, such as phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Cerner
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experienceCurrent certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employmentKnowledge of medical terminology and basic medical proceduresAbility to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team membersStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accuratelyExperience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferredFamiliarity with home care or senior care is a plusSkills :
