Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager III

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and drive complex, cross-functional projects in technology, data, strategy, people, and processes. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless project execution, delivery, and alignment with business goals and expected value realization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring successful execution and delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to maintain schedules, documentation, and ensure projects meet scope, budget, and stakeholder expectations.

Influence and guide project sponsors, stakeholders, and teams to accomplish project goals and deliver tangible business value.

Develop and oversee project roadmaps, including Epics and Features, aligned with business objectives and iterative value delivery.

Monitor progress, proactively update roadmaps based on shifting priorities, and mitigate risks.

Maintain essential project documentation such as Charters, RAID logs, CBAs, and status reports.

Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.

Facilitate enterprise-wide decision-making and change management initiatives.

Support communication strategies to enhance project visibility and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

7-10 years of progressive project management experience, with expertise in Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Proficiency in Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean ; ability to coach teams on adoption and continuous improvement.

Experience in breaking down Epics into Features and user stories for iterative development.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess feature impacts on project timelines and deliverables.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills with a diplomatic and results-oriented approach.

Demonstrated ability to lead multiple work streams, prioritize effectively, and adapt to fast-changing business needs.

Experience managing cross-functional teams, including IT professionals and third-party vendors.

Hands-on proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, SmartSheet and resource management tools .

Advanced expertise in Microsoft productivity tools ( SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel ).

Knowledge of visualization and analytics tools like Power BI .

Familiarity with IT domains, including infrastructure, software development, cloud, data, digital transformation, and industry-standard technology solutions .

Ability to navigate ambiguity with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing technology-focused projects .

Prior exposure to Identity & Access Management (IdAM) and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects.

Background in strategic management or management consulting is a plus.

Certifications such as PMP, Agile (Scrum Master, Product Owner), or MBA preferred.

Experience within the insurance or financial services industry .
