Job descriptionBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical component design. Proficiency in CREO or similar CAD software. Experience with castings and clutch or axle housing. Design of rotating components.
Responsibilities :
- Support the Team Lead in clutch housing designs.
- Perform concept modeling and CREO stress analysis.
- Coordinate detailing with external teams.
- Review PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process).
- Conduct design assessments and review deviations on non-conforming materials.
- Prepare first pass design material as directed by the Team Lead.
- Run light Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using the CREO simulate tool.
- Travel to the Decatur plant as needed to support manufacturing processes.
