Primary Purpose :
Ensure that all employee taxes are properly withheld, deposited and reported on a timely basis to the required federal, state and local taxing agencies. Function as a primary contact providing process, systems and technical expertise to internal clients and external partners as it relates to the Payroll Tax function. Provide leadership, training and expertise to team members regarding payroll taxation rules and processes.
Multiple locations posting. Selected candidate can reside in IL, DC, MD, or PA Exelon Corporate locations.
Primary Duties :
- Responsible for the daily management, operations and internal controls of the Payroll Tax function (20%)
- Provide oversight to ensure timely and accurate Payroll Tax funding and remittance on a per pay period, quarter and annual basis. (20%)
- Responsible for annual W-2 Processing and related Corrected W-2 forms, amending tax returns and follow-up to ensure taxes are paid and / or refunds are received, including Tax Notice resolution. (15%)
- Responsible for the Special Tax Processing tasks as it relates to the annual Equity and Bonus cycles as well as Relocation Expense processing. (15%)
- Provide tax processing and system expertise to resolve technical issues, develop and improve payroll tax products and services. Support ongoing Oracle and Vertex system maintenance. (10%)
- Provide accurate Payroll Tax analysis to Management and internal clients as requested. Coordinate relationships with external vendors. (10%)
- Assist in project initiatives to ensure timely implementation in areas such as acquisitions and process improvement initiatives. (5%)
- Provide backup for Manager, Payroll Processing as needed (5%)
Job Scope :
Responsible for the daily management, operations and internal controls of the Payroll Tax function.Responsible for annual W-2 processing tasks and Special Tax Processing as it relates to the annual equity and bonus cycles and relocation expense processing.Build and maintain relationships with Key Managers in Payroll, HR Technology, Benefits, Corporate Tax and HR.Responsible for managing 3-4 Off-Shore resources.Reports to Senior Manager, Payroll Tax.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting7 to 10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of degree 9-12 years of relevant experience.Strong communication, organizational, analytical and technical skills.Proficient in Microsoft Excel.Previous supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications :
