American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring MA licensure, recent L&D experience, and strong telemetry interpretation skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
  • Patient population includes high risk obstetric cases
  • Role involves both L&D nursing and OR circulator experience
  • Night shifts with 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Must provide two references, with one from a manager within the last 12 months and the other within 3 years
  • One reference from a recent travel assignment is preferred
  • References from other travelers are not accepted
  • Must complete and pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B before assignment; can only be taken twice
  • Monthly parking fees may apply for staff working onsite
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers (except for specified roles)
  • Holiday and weekend rotations are mandatory

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience and OR circulator experience
  • Must demonstrate the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Must pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with 85% or better
  • BLS and NRP certifications required, with completed coursework that does not expire during the assignment
  • Evidence of completion of Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course, preferably AWHONN
  • Level 1 Trauma hospital experience required
  • Minimum of 18 months specialty experience required
  • Dysrhythmia / Telemetry interpretation coursework preferred
  • Certified Nurse Midwife experience will not be considered
