Job Overview
In the role of Electrician Technician at Carolina Voltage, you'll play a vital role in either supporting a team of electrical technicians or assisting a Lead Electrician, depending on your level of experience. You'll work closely with the Lead Electrician or team, responding promptly to service requests, executing tasks efficiently, and maintaining high-quality standards to ensure minimal downtime.
What You'll Do :
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit with precision, utilizing measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring parts and supplies are organized.
- Perform semi-skilled and unskilled labor duties related to electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Disassemble and reassemble defective electrical equipment, replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Thread conduit ends, connect couplings, and fabricate conduit support brackets.
- Examine electrical units for issues like loose connections and insulation problems, ensuring they are addressed promptly.
- Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, washing parts as needed.
- Dig trenches or holes for conduit installation and assist in installing new equipment and wiring.
- Strip insulation from wire ends, attach wires to terminals for soldering, and troubleshoot short circuits.
- Installing Low voltage cables and working with Network systems.
- Working with customers daily. Explaining your plan for solving their electrical issue.
- Proficiently document the work performed in Service Titan using Photos, Notes, and Time punches.
- For Lead Technicians, You will invoice the customer at the time of completion for the work performed and collect payment.
What You'll Need :
High school diploma or equivalent essential. Vocational or technical training in Electrical systems is strongly preferred.Valid state issued driver licenseA minimum of 5 years' experience as an electrician.Experience bidding out service work using a Jobbing platform (Service Titan) and collecting payments.Ability to document the work performed using detailed notes and photos that can be handed to the customer as an invoice for service.Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.Experience installing electrical panels.Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Must have a team-player mentality while also being able to work independently when needed.Must pass a background check and drug screening.Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and sometimes uneven surfaces.Must be willing to work in attics and crawlspacesAble to work indoors and outdoorsAble to work in all weather conditions.Benefits Included :
