We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Tax Support Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting tax operations, including processing individual, employer, and real estate tax documents, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills and discretion.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and process tax forms and data related to individual, employer, and real estate taxes.

Update and maintain computerized record systems.

Generate correspondence, receipts, certifications, and other tax-related documents.

Handle daily mail, unclaimed checks, and refund check printing.

Prepare bank deposits and post payments using Electronic Payment Processing (EPP).

Provide customer support for web-based applications.

Process cash and credit card payments; balance and reconcile real estate accounts.

Collect and deposit checks via internal banking systems.

Analyze and manipulate data for accurate account posting.

Utilize notices, payment plans, and phone outreach to collect on delinquent accounts.

Audit delinquent and non-compliant accounts.

Manage payment plan requests from individuals and employers.

Process individual and employer tax returns.

Respond to incoming calls and customer inquiries.

Meet deadlines and develop professional goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, copiers, scanners, and other office software.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Ability to define problems, gather and organize information, and draw valid conclusions.

Willingness to submit to a criminal background check

Required Schedule for Tax Support Specialist :

July through December Monday-Thursday 6 : 30am-4pm (Off Friday, Sat, Sun) AND January through June Monday-Friday 7 : 30am-4pm (Off Sat & Sunday)
