Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Telemetry Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1 year License : Current RN License (eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri) Certifications : BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have : 1 year inpatient telemetry experience, experience and competence in drug titration Description : Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for all age groups. Engages in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit-specific physical demands including significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning of patients with assistance. Requires flexibility to work varying schedules, shifts, and days based on patient care requirements. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids may occur. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation consistent with state laws and regulations.
