Associate Leasing Representative (ASR)

Our team provides a full range of services, including general brokerage, property management, asset management, and development services. We operate exclusively in Texas' major markets : Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.
Weitzman is seeking an Associate Leasing Representative (ASR) to play a key role in driving temporary and permanent leasing activity at Golden Triangle Mall in Denton, Texas.
Responsibilities :
- Aggressively source and generate qualified leads and new prospects for both temporary and permanent leasing opportunities at GTM and other assigned properties.
- Secure short-term license agreements and identify long-term tenancy opportunities that align with ownership's objectives.
- Visit competing malls, shopping centers, local retailers, and business districts to identify potential tenants. Research and qualify prospects through online databases, social media, and trade networks.
- Build and maintain relationships with area brokers, franchise operators, and small business owners to uncover new opportunities.
- Manage all aspects of the specialty leasing programfrom lead generation to execution of short-term license agreements.
- Coordinate execution of license documentation and ensure all compliance requirements (insurance, payments, operating rules) are met. Maintain regular communication with licensees to ensure compliance and renewals as appropriate.
- Collect and input monthly sales data and other performance metrics into the property system.
- Maintain accurate and updated prospect tracking reports detailing contact information, use type, interest level, and follow-up activity.
- Conduct regular meetings with General Manager, Asset Manager, and Senior Leasing Representative to collaborate and review prospects, deal structures, and timing. Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions to align leasing efforts with marketing and asset management goals.
- Assist in the coordination of mall events, seasonal activations, or promotional partnerships that enhance occupancy and drive traffic.
- Support the marketing team with tenant relations and visual merchandising standards when applicable.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, real estate, or related field; or 57 years of direct sales or business development experience, preferably in retail real estate or specialty leasing.Active Texas Real Estate License required.Experience negotiating and executing lease or license agreements preferred.Strong sales acumen with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed leasing goals.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.High level of initiative, organization, and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Experience using CRM or property management software (e.g., MRI, VTS, Salesforce) is a plus.Benefits :
