Starting Salary : $85,000 - $120,000 / year PLUS $5,000 Sign-on Bonus AND $2,000 Annual Education Stipend

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is searching for an Area Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional Special Education team. As an Area Speech Language Pathologist, you will deliver personalized speech therapy services aimed at helping students meet their communication goals and improve their overall speech functioning. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, collaborating with families and educators, writing IEP goals, tracking progress, and attending IEP meetings to enhance the students’ educational experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess and evaluate students to determine their speech-language needs and appropriate therapy services.
- Design and implement tailored speech therapy plans based on individual needs and assessment outcomes.
- Collaborate with families and educational teams to set student-centered goals.
- Monitor and document student progress using data-driven assessments, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based strategies within natural environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and case records.
- Engage in open communication with families regarding therapy status and progress.
- Work with teachers and related service providers to integrate therapy goals within the educational setting.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and treatment strategies.
- Support onsite teams by providing guidance on effective therapy implementation.
- Mentor educators and staff to enhance therapy delivery and build clinical capacity.
- Conduct initial client intakes and comprehensive assessments.
- Ensure quality and consistency of therapy services across multiple school sites.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed on best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Travel regularly between Spectrum School locations to provide therapy and support.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by Program Directors or the Area / Regional VP of Operations.
Qualifications :
Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a related field.Current or pending SLP license.Valid CA state driver’s license or ability to obtain one.Experience in providing speech therapy in educational or behavioral health settings.Familiarity with special education services and compliance requirements.Proven success in creating and executing effective treatment plans.Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, and educational partners.Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization.Competency in using technology including Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.About Us : Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is part of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education , which has been a leader in alternative and special education for over 50 years, impacting the lives of more than 240,000 students nationwide.
