Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with BLS, ACLS, and RCIS, RCVT or RCES certification for a full-service cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in a cardiac catheterization laboratory with the potential to be assigned to electrophysiology or cath holding departmentsPrimarily adult cardiac patient population undergoing minimally invasive cardiac and electrophysiology proceduresShifts are either 5x8 or 4x10 days, with shift times varying between 7 AM and 7 PMRotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required, averaging up to 12 on-call days per monthUnit covers full-service electrophysiology as well as minimally invasive cardiac proceduresDuties include assisting with minimally invasive cardiac catheterization procedures and electrophysiology casesTeam may be assigned across cardiac cath, electrophysiology, or cath holding as neededPre-assignment modules required and must be completed before startNo holiday time off is permitted due to facility expectationsScrubs or uniform requirements will be communicated upon assignmentAll RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basisAllied professionals will be considered regardless of local addressCandidates with any history of fit test issues or license / background hits will not be consideredRequirements
Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience requiredBLS and ACLS certification requiredCurrent RCIS, RCVT, or RCES required; ARRT certification not acceptedGraduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology program requiredVA or compact license must be in hand at time of consideration—no exceptions (license required if applicable)No prior license or background hits considered for this positionMust be able to pass facility fit testing; PAPR cannot be accommodatedMust provide two professional references for considerationBenefits
