Our client is currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant - Autistic Support around the Broomall, PA area!

Job Title : Personal Care Assistant

Location : Broomall, PA 19008

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM

Position Overview

This role supports the delivery of special education services in alignment with district policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing direct support to students with special needs, collaborating with educators and staff, implementing behavior intervention plans, facilitating IEP meetings, documenting student progress, and participating in problem-solving teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree preferred
For this School District, candidates must provide one of the following :

Photo of high school diploma

Official transcript with signature

Photo of post-secondary degree (associate, bachelor, etc.)

GEDs are not accepted

ParaPro test is not recognized as a valid credential

Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting

Familiarity with special education practices and a willingness to learn new strategies

Proficiency with multimedia and computer technology to support instruction

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, administrators, and families

Role Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing IEPs to meet student needs

Support the integration of technology and resources to enhance learning

Adapt support strategies based on individual student goals

Monitor student progress and follow district assessment protocols

Manage student behavior across various settings to maintain a productive learning environment

Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community stakeholders to support student success

Participate in professional learning communities to strengthen instructional practices

Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats

Perform additional duties as assigned by the district
