The purpose of Southwire's College Programs is to provide valuable experience to students pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher. Students will receive a project at the beginning of the summer and present it in our project expo at the end of the summer. Position Summary

The Package Engineering Co-Op will work closely with full time engineering and packaging staff to become familiar with the wire manufacturing support process as well as the tools, techniques and thought processes used in the industry. While completing the Co-Op, students will be exposed to many types of manufacturing directly related to the packaging and wire industry. Assignments may center on projects devoted to improvements in operation efficiency, scrap reduction, and problem solving.
