About The Position

ID : 73419114 Shift : 12H Nights 12 hr Nights, EOW, First to Float Description : Unit experience required- Unit : L&D / PP- # L&D Beds : 8 with 6 overflow.- # triage beds : 7 in L&D- # Postpartum beds : 40 beds (Mother / Baby, antepartum, and GYN)- # births per day, per year : 1800-2000 births per year.- Certs : LD - BLS, ACLS, NRP, FHM AWHONN (Advanced). Must be able to circulate C-sections.- M / B, PP - BLS, NRP- Ratios : LD - 1 : 2 labor, 1 : 1 delivery, 1 : 3 triage.- M / B, PP - 1 : 4 couplets.- FHM System : Cerner- EMR : Cerner- Charge Nurse : Yes - may take a patient assignment.- Nurse Aides / OB tech : OB techs - L&D for C-section scrub and L&D patient care if no C-sections.- Weekend Requirement : Every other- Call Requirement : Not required, but could pick up if wanted.- Holidays : Rotate with core staff.- Scrub Color : LD - Provided; M / B, PP - Navy- Tele : Potentially on mothers. Not responsible for strips. - Vents : No - OB / Neonatologist in house : 24hr Laborist, Anesthesia, and Neonatologist.- IV Team : No- RT 24 / 7 : Yes - Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes- Shifts : 0630 - 1900 and 1830 - 0700- C-section experience required : Yes - circulate- Floating : Post Partum.- Floor specific orientation : 1-2 shifts with preceptor.- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Standard labor, multiples, high risk, vacuum, and VBACs- Additional Notes : Baby friendly. LD RN, NICU RN, and RT attend C-sections. Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13 week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : Care Shift Notes : 12 hr Nights, EOW, First to Float Required (AHA), AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
