Description
This is an 0.75% FTE position - 6 hour per day - 11-months
Under the direction of the Early Learning Center Director perform a variety of duties relative to the planning, purchasing, and preparation of meals and snacks for the children enrolled at the center; maintain compliance with the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations and reporting.
- Must possess a current California Food Handler ServSafe Certificate - Certificate must be uploaded with application to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Accurately implement meal production following CACFP guidelines; coordinate with staff and food program consultants to ensure age appropriate and nutritious diet for children under age 5.Create weekly menus.Prepare a weekly shopping list and make necessary purchases.Complete daily Meal Production Records per CACFP guidelines.Prepare lunch for up to 125 children each school day.Plan and prepare meals for children with food allergies or meal restrictions.Comply with California food safety regulations to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment including sanitizing dishes and food service areas and cooking implements.Store food per State guidelines.Provide safe food handling training and monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations.Assist with the submission of the monthly CACFP reimbursement claim.Perform duties that are related to the CACFP funding terms and other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
