Skills : Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, High-Risk Antepartum, Level 1 Nursery, LDRP and Mother / Baby

Skills in Fetal Monitoring, IV Therapy, Medication Administration, L&D Management, Neonatal Care, Newborn Care, Pain Management, and Postpartum Care Required

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancellation.

RNs must be comfortable serving in the role of labor and delivery nurse, baby nurse, and C-section circulator.

RNs should perform as a recovery RN for C-sections taking care of the postpartum and neonatal population.

Our unit currently does about 30 births per month but is projected to do 80 births per month starting January 2025.

The unit consists of an 8-bed LDRP with 7 overflow beds to accommodate postpartum patients.

Patient ratios are 1 : 3-4 for postpartum and 1 : 1-2 for labor.

The unit includes standard equipment found on most labor and delivery units and C-section operating rooms.

Candidates must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby based on skill sets and census.

Candidates should have experience with charting, preferably with Epic.

Fatigue policy : Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours in a week.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

No RTO is allowed during the first week of a traveler's assignment.

Module completion is required before starting and annually, with hours varying by specialty.
