About The Position

Job Title : Certified Sterile Processing Tech

Profession : Surgical Services

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required

License : Valid State License required

Certifications : CRCST required

Must-Have :

• Previous experience in sterile processing
• Specific charting experience, Epic preferred

Description :

Start times are 6 AM, 8 AM, and 11 AM on weekdays.

Certified in Sterile Processing is required.

Experience with biological indicators and case carts is preferred.

Knowledge in chemical agents for decontamination is necessary.

Experience with cleaning equipment such as crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps is required.

Familiarity with scopes including colonoscopes, EGD scopes, and endoscopes is essential.

High-level disinfection (HLD) and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) experience is required.

Skills in organizing trays and placing instruments on trays are crucial.

Understanding proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials is essential.

Experience with steam sterilization testing and monitoring is preferred.

Knowledge of robotic equipment and scope / probe reprocessing is important.

Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team is a must.

Experience with various patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics is required.
