Description :

Unit operates with 14 suites and averages 28 cases per day.

Must be able to assist in all surgical cases except Open Heart.

Experience as an OR Tech is essential, with a focus on scrubbing for neuro spine, total joints, and general cases.

The OR Tech will be responsible for room turnover and preparation for surgery.

There is a call rotation including weekend and weeknight shifts.

Call response time is required to be within 20 minutes.

Weekend shifts can vary from 12 to 24 hours.

Evening shifts are typically from 11 AM to 7 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The OR Tech will work closely with nursing staff, with a ratio of 2 Techs to 1 RN.

Scrubs will be provided for all staff.

No self-scheduling is available for travelers, but block scheduling may be considered to meet unit needs.

No interpretation of telemetry strips is required in the OR.

Common surgical cases include a variety of general procedures and trauma cases.

Candidates should be prepared for varied start times depending on the needs of the unit.

The facility has pharmacy services available 24 / 7 and respiratory therapy staff is in-house.
