Shift : 4x10-Hour Day Shifts (Tuesday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM); No weekends or call

Job Responsibilities :

Perform a variety of interventional radiology (IR) procedures using fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound guidance.

Prepare and assist physicians with vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, biopsies, stent placements, and drain insertions.

Set up and maintain sterile fields; assist as scrub and circulator during procedures.

Monitor and document patient condition, medications, and procedural details in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.

Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment (Siemens, ultrasound, CT).

Ensure adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols.

Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to provide quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Maintain accurate records, images, and documentation using PACS and Cerner systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience : Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience (2+ years preferred).

Licensure : ARRT (R) certification and active West Virginia state license (pending accepted but must be active by start).

Certifications : BLS required; ACLS preferred (American Heart Association).

Technical Proficiency :

Central and peripheral venous access (PICC, ports, central lines)

Angiographic and embolization procedures

Biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis

Stent placement and vascular closure systems

TIPS and other complex IR interventions

Charting System : Cerner (preferred).

Patient Population : Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily Caseload : Approximately 10–15 procedures per technologist.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Advanced training in 3D imaging and vascular procedures.

Proficiency with Siemens imaging systems and PACS.

Strong sterile technique and procedural preparation skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities within a multidisciplinary environment.

Prior experience in a teaching hospital or trauma center setting.
