Locum Tenens Opportunity : General Medicine Physician

Able to work weekends, if desired / needed

Overview :

We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.

Assignment Details :

Duration : PRN basis, ongoing

Specialties Accepted : Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or anyone with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension

Coverage Options : Two options available - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and / or schedule Veterans within your own practice

Shift Options : Half days (4-hours) and / or full days (8-hours)

Exam Type : One-time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments

Exam Format : Primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing

Prescribing / Treatment : No prescribing or treatment involved

Credentialing : Quick credentialing & onboarding process

Certification : DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified

Equipment : Use of Goniometer required

Expertise Required : Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions. Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.

Technology : Own personal laptop (NO MACs) required for completing evaluations and submitting Reporting / Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)

Reporting : DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).

Record Review : Required in most cases

Follow-up Administrative Work : Addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics will be required on a regular basis
