Description

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com / en) . We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a construction project in Durham, North Carolina.

  • Project : highway
  • Estimated duration of the position : 2 years - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him / her continuity.
  • Responsibilities :
  • Conduct detailed land and construction surveys to support the planning, design, and execution of highway improvements.
  • Establish and maintain accurate control points and benchmarks using GPS, total stations, and other modern surveying equipment.
  • Perform layout and staking for the addition of new lanes, bridge replacements, and other structures.
  • Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure alignment with design specifications and tolerances.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, construction managers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure quality.
  • Prepare clear and precise survey documentation, reports, and maps for project records and compliance.
  • Requirements :
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in highway / road / heavy civil construction projects or similar, working directly with the construction company.
  • Working hours : Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly- There may be longer working hours and some weekends depending on project demands
