The Cardiothoracic Surgery Department offers virtually every type of cardiac surgery. Serving in this Weekender Flex role allows you to be with loved ones, fulfill life responsibilities, take care of children and complete anything else that may interfere with a typical weekday workload. Whether you are an experienced RN or a new graduate, all nurses entering an OR specialty unit participate in a comprehensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition into the surgical environment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the surgical team to deliver exceptional patient care, from the initial introduction to the final send-off.

This is a weekender position that will work nights from 6 : 00pm to 6 : 30am. A caregiver in this role will have their shifts assigned after orientation. Orientation is 6 months long, Monday through Friday from 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will :

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub and circulating functions.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Physical Requirements :

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing >

than 75 pounds periodically.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly : $33.50

Maximum hourly : $53.60
