Description :

The unit has a total of 27 beds.

There are approximately 50 staff members.

The staffing for day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5-7 registered nurses, and 1 patient care technician.

The staffing for night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5-7 registered nurses, and 1 patient care technician.

Patient ratios are 6-8 : 1.

The type of equipment used includes electronic medical records systems.

Typical procedures performed on this unit include circumcisions.

The ideal candidate should be energetic and have a good personality fit for the unit.

Floating areas will include APU for mothers only.

The dress code consists of royal blue scrubs, with no hoodies allowed.

Staff must take a 30-minute lunch break during their shift.

Three weekend shifts are required each month.

On-call duties may be part of the role.
