Job Details

  • Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital receives international acclaim for its outstanding and dynamic kidney transplant, liver transplant and pancreas transplant programs.
  • The facility has set record numbers for volume and desired outcomes.
  • It is designated as a Center of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Excellence from the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
  • The hospital provides a sexual assault response team which serves as a model for hospitals and agencies all over the world.

    • Job Requirements

  • 2+ YEARS OF CRITICAL CARE Experience
  • 2+ YEARS OF HOSP / TRAVEL EXPERIENCE
  • Must be willing to float as per the Methodist Floating Policy

    • Schedule Information

  • Shift Detail : 7P-7 : 30A
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks
  • Shift / Workdays : 7P-7 : 30A
  • Weekend – Every other
  • Call Requirements : No
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Documentation system : Meditech
  • Floating policy : As needed- Float to other areas when census is low as a functional nurse. May be floated to another ICU in the system
  • Typical procedures performed on unit(s) : Central Lines, Bronchoscopy, bedside Trachs
  • Dress Code : Scrub Color RN : Navy (undershirts and jackets white, navy, black only)
  • Nail Policy – No acrylic, no longer than ¼ inch, clean, no chipped nail polish
  • Hair – Off shoulders, natural color
  • Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible.
  • Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited.
  • Work 4 weekend shifts per 4 week block of schedule
