Job Summary

America Reads / America Counts is a federal work-study tutoring program that allows UWG students, who qualify for Federal Work-Study, to assist children in local schools to improve their reading and math skills. The America Reads America Counts (ARAC) Federal Work-Study program needs dependable and enthusiastic UWG students who enjoy working with elementary and / or middle school children during the traditional school day and / or after-school hours. Tutors will work under the supervision of a classroom teacher and / or after-school program coordinator. Our partner schools include :

• Sharp Creek Elementary : Availability for traditional school day and / or after-school hours
• Carrollton City Schools (Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School) : Availability after 1 : 45pm (elementary after-school) and / or 3 : 00pm (middle after-school)
